The successful candidate will be required to perform safety upgrades to navigation and communication towers. Strict adherence to safety guidelines and procedures is required. The candidate will be required to: Safely use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and equipment. Safely drive a company vehicle and trailer. Repetitively lift up to 50 pounds. Work primarily outdoors Climb towers and other vertical structures ranging from 10 to 350 feet using required PPE.NOTE: Towers are typically less than, but may exceed, 100 feet. Some towers have interior stairs, however most do not. Install OSHA compliant toe-boards, mid-rail, and top rail on tower platforms. Install hatch covers or other safety devices on tower platforms. Install ladders and/or ladder safety systems on towers. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriateExperience and Qualifications: Construction, safety, and quality training/certifications a plus. MS Office experience and computer proficiency required. Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds. Must be willing to travel 100% throughout the United States and its territories. Must be willing to work overtime when required. Valid Driver License and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record check required Must have, or be able to obtain, a satisfactory DOT medical examination. Previous tower climbing experience is a plus but not required. 0-2 years experience in the construction industry. A current Competent Climber Certification and Tower Rescue training are preferred. (Training will be provided)Special Job Requirements: Must be able to meet customer security requirements (moderate to high risk). A background check by federal authorities will be performed.
