Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with almost 4,000 lawyers and staff in 31 offices is seeking a Document Clerk for our Labor and Employment Immigration Practice Group. This position will reside in the Washington office. The Document Clerk assists and supports the operations of the Practice Group by creating and maintaining files in accordance with Firm policies and procedures. Duties include but are not limited to: reviewing, organizing, storing, retrieving and updating files. Responsibilities: Creates new files. Adds new material to appropriate records timely. Examines incoming materials; codes them numerically, alphabetically or by subject matter, as assigned. Ensures files are current and accurate and discards outdated file materials. Transfers materials to inactive storage. Reviews files at regular intervals to ensure all items are correctly sequenced and placed. Locates missing files or materials. Retrieves and delivers files as requested. Implements changes to filing system as assigned. Performs other administrative responsibilities and projects as assigned.
