YOUR ROLE As the member of the In-force Actuarial (IFA) Data Analytics team, you are responsible for providing subject matter expertise on the IFA data. You will play a critical role in enhancing our organization by using data and analytics to drive business strategy, increase automation, and enhance the usage of data. This role requires working closely with key stakeholders, collecting requirements, and producing deliverables in the form of reports, dashboards, raw datasets and ??knowledge?? banks that will be used to drive business decisions and improve processes. The ideal candidate possesses advanced documentation and analytical skills with the ability to present information to business users of all levels. On any given day you will be: Collect and document metadata information including definitions, priorities, quality requirements, process relationships, etc. Create reports and dashboards on data usage and quality standards Resolve data errors outside tolerances Run ad hoc requests for data sets Manage and communicate data changes from upstream and downstream requirements, working with project and run the shop resources Create and maintain documentation to support data management requirements YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Management of metadata and data quality standards Define and implement policies and procedures for the day-to-day operational and administrative management of data including but not limited to audit standards, documentation standards and communication standards Conduct full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, design and testing for data change requests Define, develop and provide metrics and analysis to understand data usage and quality Perform root cause analysis for prioritized data problems, and coordinate remediation activities Identifie, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets Solve complex problems utilizing creative solutions and new perspectives Become an expert in IFA data, including upstream and downstream uses and implications Conduct research and analysis to quantify data-related issues or new data requests and provides potential solutions; lead execution and implementation Focus on automation and utilizing technology to provide repeatable reporting and testing solutions Assist with reports and data extraction as needed Provide support to address Data Governance Program Office requirements, PMO project needs and cross-functional team support requests Define, develop and provide automated testing Reorganize and expand the query library which houses commonly used queries Create and maintain documentation around data usage including process relationship maps, data dependency maps, internal and cross-functional reconciliation processes and testing plans Create (and automate when possible) testing plans for data changes, process changes and impact analysis reporting standards YOUR QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in an analytical or technical discipline At least 5 years of data analysis experience Metadata and data quality management experience High attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to take proactive action when needed Outstanding written communication skills Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple and changing priorities Ability to influence and work collaboratively in a team.
