POSITION PURPOSE:

The Strategic Sourcing Manager for Essilor of America (EOA) will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives for the IT/ Telecom category in the US zone. The primary focus will be on driving Total Cost Optimization, Working Capital Improvement and overall Complexity Reduction in direct alignment with management and stakeholder expectations contributing to the overrall profitability and cash flow objectives of the company.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Acts as the main interface in managing and facilitating business relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers

Continually expands the influence of the Strategic Sourcing and Purchasing organization throughout the company

Identifies, communicates and takes action on opportunities arising from internal & external data analysis, supplier & stakeholder collaboration and own professional experiences to deliver financial value for the company

Constructs comprehensive category strategies to achieve stated goals (P&L savings, cash generation, supply risk mitigation, etc) within budget and on-time

Manages overall supplier qualification process, RFP/RFQ procedures, supplier selection, negotiation, contract development and implementation as it pertains to purchased goods and services

Leverages supplier relationships to drive innovation and sustainability through new products and services

Establishes working relationships with Global Sourcing peers to maximize expertise and synergies when making strategic sourcing decisions

Unyielding customer service (internal stakeholder management) and collaborator mentality

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Business required (Accounting/Finance, Purchasing and/or Supply Chain preferred)

Minimum of five years of IT/ Telecom Sourcing experience required with demonstrated increases in responsibilities (1 year experience may be substituted with MBA)

Strong understanding of IT categories, managing IT suppliers, spend analysis, RFPs, and negotiations

Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) a plus

Must posess strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including ability to address and resolve sensitive/emotional business topics

Proven ability to function at a high level within a matrix organization while creating and maintaining stakeholder and supplier relationships

Solid analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to think strategically and independently

Fundamental understanding of financial statements (Income, Balance, Cash Flow) and how Sourcing strategies impact each

Strong background in MS 2007 (or later) Office tools including with a strong focus on Word, Powerpoint, and Excel

Well polished presentation skills (both in creating and delivering the message)
