Overview By Light is seeking a SharePoint Administrator to join our team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. By Light provides a broad range of hardware, software, engineering, and IT integration services. Responsibilities Administer, install, configure, maintain, upgrade and manage a SharePoint Server or a Server Farm Develop, deploy, and support SharePoint sites, including web parts, basic pages, lists, and workflows Configure all service applications like search, metadata and user-profile synchronization, etc. Create Content Databases (DB) and maintain them Assign proper permission levels for all users of the site as well as configuring anonymous access if required Prepare and maintain related technical documentation, including reports on SharePoint administration tasks Review, process, and resolve support requests from end-users (including Tier 2 and Tier 3 maintenance) Manage and monitor the SharePoint environment load balancing, registry settings, and environment settings to maintain consistent availability Support migration of older SharePoint versions to SharePoint 2016 or the SharePoint Cloud Required ExperienceQualifications 5 years relevant experience Minimum Education AA or 2-year technical school degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Graduate of Technical School, OR an additional 4 years of relevant experience Strong understanding of what can be done using Out of Box (OOB) features in SharePoint Broad knowledge of Windows networking and authentication Knowledge of the following concepts Server Manager and its functionality Active Directory DNS SMTP Network Load Balancing (NLB) Windows Firewall Event Viewer and Performance Monitor Preferred ExperienceQualifications Active VA Clearance desired MCSE or MCP or equivalent desired Special RequirementsSecurity Clearance All candidates must be able to successfully complete a government background investigation Work will take place onsite at a Veterans Affairs Office Ability to work after hours or weekends to resolve emergency production issues or software releases An Equal Opportunity EmployerProtected VeteransIndividuals with Disabilities Department Information Technology
