Provides management support to program ensuring that implementation and defined activities are
carried out in accordance with specified objectives. Provides planning, design and implementation
support to assigned program area.
1. Directs and coordinates activities concerned with implementation and carrying
out objectives of program function or activity. May be responsible for the
planning, execution and evaluation of a specific project or program.
2. Ensures integration of assigned project or function with overall program
3. Collects and analyzes data, identifies areas of need and/or improvement, and
develops recommendations for program improvement. Develops reports on
project status and issues for management review.
4. Administers processes within assigned program area. Analyzes operating
practices and recommends revisions to improve established procedures.
5. Works in conjunction with internal departments and external government and/or
non-government agencies in the development of program strategies and
proposal initiatives as required.
Education - 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Social Services or relevant related field
Experience: Minimum 5 to 7 years required
Management Experience: Less than 1 year of staff management experience required
Essential Functions/Physical Requirements: Depending on work assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 20 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information. Overall mobility is essential. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle and working under challenging conditions.
Work Conditions: Work is performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to emergency services relief work. May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout
chapter jurisdiction, state and Red Cross system. Because the Red Cross is a disaster response
organization, staff may be asked to be on 24-hour call during period of major disaster.
