We are seeking a Research Associate to join our Research & Evaluation group in Washington, DC or Chapel Hill, NC focuses on health services research projects. Responsibilities? Provide management support to medium to large proposals by tracking complex tasks, collecting and reviewing documents, coordinating meetings, coordinating activities with the contracts office and finance office developing budget assumptions and drafting text ? Coordinate activities for research projects and support project management ? Assist in the design and planning of qualitative and quantitative data collection instruments including interview protocols, focus group protocols and surveys ? Prepare documents, portions of reports, briefs, charts, and graphs that describe and interpret findings of analyses ? Clearly communicate knowledge of the project purpose and objectives to clients when necessary and represent AIR in a professional manner. ? Clean, code, and analyze data from survey data, interviews, observations and extant data using the appropriate scientific approaches and software (e.g. Nvivo, STATA, R, or SPSS). ? Communicate effectively, orally or in writing, with clients, site-based staff, and other evaluation stakeholders. ? Work independently and in team-based projects Qualifications? Master's degree within Social Sciences (Economics, Psychology, Public Policy, Sociology, etc.) ? Experience supporting efforts related to health policy or research ? Ability to work independently, and as a member of a team ? Advanced data management skills using STATA, R, or other programming software. ? Proficient conducting quantitative analyses, with a focus on regression-based and multi-level models ? Clear written and oral communication skills ?
